Swing and graveyard shifts available. Day shifts are rare for Security Officers.  We have positions available in the downtown Seattle and Bellevue areas.

Full time and part time Security Officers needed for a variety of sites $11.00 to $12.00 per hour.

Full time Response Officers needed $13.60 per hour.

Basic Security and Response Officer duties to include:

1. Read Site Instruction Manual (SIM) and perform security related duties in accordance with NW Protective policies and procedures as well as Client instructions. The client may on occasion give instructions. In such incidences, be particularly cooperative and notify Operations of any such instructions not included in the SIM.

2. Perform physical tasks such as guarding entrances, materials or information, patrolling a defined area on foot, or in a vehicle and checking that the premises are safe and secure.

3. Security and Response Officers complete a variety of security related forms and reports in a neat, legible, accurate and timely fashion.

4. Maintain positive public relations by acting in a courteous manner and maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance. Act as a reception point for visitors. Use firmness where appropriate to enforce clients rules.

5. Remain alert for potential security risks, hazards or emergency situation and immediately report them to Customer Service Center or a Supervisor. Be physically able to respond in an emergency situation.

6. Maintain ongoing communications with NW Protective Operations.

7. Provide high quality, proactive security service to NW Protective Clients.

8. On Client sites, Security and Response Officers deter damage to or destruction of life, property and information and to deter and detect theft, fire and accidents. Perform these duties in accordance with NW Protective’s security definition to: REPORT what you OBSERVE, ANTICIPATE its impact and RECOMMEND a solution.

Requirements:Education: High school graduate or GED required. Experience: A proven history of reliability and dependability. Preferred: Previous military, security and/or customer service experience. Abilities: Good verbal and written communications skills, which includes good penmanship. Able to perform duties which may require long periods of walking, sitting, standing or climbing stairs. Able to see, hear and smell in order to detect emergency conditions. Able to move quickly in the event of an emergency. Minimum 18 years of age with no criminal convictions, 21 for Response Officer.
