The right Sr Shoe Buyer will keep Amazon on a strong growth path and further expand our strategy, tactics and team over the next few years. Job responsibility includes all aspect of buying, marketing, partner management and merchandising. Applicable experience in the following areas required: pricing, promotion, inventory management, product development, and sourcing. Ability to problem-solve, using creative thinking and innovation, is a plus. Additional responsibilities include monitoring, anticipating and reacting to industry and competitive trends and keeping our strategy and tactics ahead of the curve.This candidate should have experience in forging new business opportunities, forecasting, and a background in retail or e-commerce, as well as well-established, long-term industry relationships at the national level. The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting and comfortable with computer databases and tools. They must also be decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas. The right candidate must be able to operate successfully in a lean organization and also be able to create a vision that can scale with growing volume. He or she also must have demonstrated flexibility in building organizations through various phases of its evolution, must be able to work in a highly-demanding, but collegial environment where teamwork is a must.
