JOB DESCRIPTION

Victory Packaging is looking for a safe, responsible and motivated CDL drivers for their local metro area.  The ideal candidate will be energetic, committed and goal oriented.  Individual will work some overtime as needed.  The most critical part of our continued success is our people.  We know our competitive edge is dependant upon hiring the most talented individuals in all fields.

 

This is a regular full time position.

 

THE CDL DRIVER HIRED WILL:Make local route deliveries to customersMust be able to physically handle some liftingOperate trucks for the regional delivery, pick-up and relocation of product and materialsMaintain required reports, including time recordsProvide outstanding customer service during delivery and pick-up operationsFollow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programInspect all materials received for order accuracy and qualifyCommunicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns and inventory issuesAssist with loading materials onto truckAssist with unloading materials returned to work siteUtilize material handling equipment, such as fork lifts and hand trucksPull orders or conduct manual inventory checksRestock or clean warehouse when not on driving routeOther duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTSHave a valid class A CDL Clean driving recordGeneral fluency in English required, verbal and writtenHigh School diploma or equivalentNo criminal recordMust be able to read and write in order to track paperwork manually or through computer entry

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSit and drive for longer than six hours of time without assistancePerform job duties in severe weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, etc.Utilize all material handling equipment without assistanceLift 50 pounds repeatedly and without assistance or equipment
