Helix Corporate Human Resources is looking for an Entry-Level Internal Auditor for the Houston Corporate office. The primary role of this position is to perform internal control and financial and operational audits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Create audit work products such as audit workpapers, analyses and engagement documentation. Participate in meetings and assist in the preparation of the final audit work. Evaluate and test processes and related controls as they relate to Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance. Assist with maintaining and updating the internal control repository. Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate. Assist with special projects as requested.
To perform in this role successfully you must:Have 1 year prior audit or business experience (not required). Be familiar with COSO Framework. Have the ability to travel (up to 15%). Have a one of the preferred certifications: CPA/CIA/CFE/CISA.
Minimum Required Experienced:Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Business (Accounting, Finance or other relevant field). Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Candidate will be responsible for multiple projects and should be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines (very limited overtime requirements). Candidate should exhibit self motivation, ability to accept additional responsibility and have a willingness to accept new challenges in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills required.
