Electrical Engineer

Sherwin Alumina is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Electrical Engineer to work at the Sherwin Alumina Plant in Corpus Christi, Texas.

 

The Electrical Engineer responsibilities will include providing long range electrical reliability and maintenance direction to the plant in general, work with Mechanical Engineers to develop costs for annual budgets, sets maintenance priorities with Maintenance Manager, analyzes equipment failures and develops solutions, review standard electrical maintenance practices and provides project management services defining job scope and controlling costs.

 

This position requires an Electrical Engineering Degree and knowledge of linear circuits, analog electronics, circuit analysis, electromagnetic applications, energy conversion, electronic devices and circuits, instrumentation as applied in industry.  Other qualifications include the ability to model, analyze, design and evaluate components or systems that achieve desired technical specifications subject to economic constraints.  Must be computer literate and have a strong commitment to workplace safety and the achievement and maintaining of quality goals. Experience preferred but not required.
