Severn Trent Denora is seeking a Business Developer to develop and maintain business throughout the U.S. and Latin America territories.Severn Trent Denora serves both markets - the Sea Wastewater Treatment /Marine Wastewater Treatment and disinfection markets.   Our products include Omnipure and Sanilec.Omnipure systems are the only marine sewage systems that oxidize sewage in the electrochemical cell as well as generate NaOCL for the disinfection of the marine waste streams.  Sanilec systems generate sodium hypochlorite from seawater using an extensively field-proven electrochemical process for the disinfection of both water and wastewater   This position requires at least 50% of travel throughout the U.S. and Latin America.  The position will be based in Sugar Land, Texas.  The ability to speak and write in Spanish is critical to the success of this position. Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: Offshore, Oil & Gas, Marine, Cruise Vessel and the Navy. Candidates for this position must be sales driven and possess a "can do" attitude.  We offer a competitive salary and commission structure.    Relocation expenses will be considered for the right candidate. • Develops plans to increase market share of assigned products or markets through communications with government officials, consulting engineers, engineering firms, shipyards and vessel construction companies • Seeks out and researches prospective projects through established sales channels and recommends the development of alternate sales channels • Drives the process for major project pursuit developing sales strategies with inside sales and representative network • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key purchasing influences • Keeps company management informed of business conditions which may affect assigned product or markets • Provides external leadership for the assigned product or market by actively participating in trade shows, equipment seminars and training activities • Ensures that profit margins are maximized for the assigned product • Works with marketing and promotion, including advertising, review media, specials sales, and subsidiary rights • Tracks status of projects including reporting spreadsheets • Maintains close contact with client's key person throughout the project development stage, proposal stage and the final selection process • Procures RFQ, RFP and bid documents • Completes bid forms, bond requests, contract checklists, etc. including expediting appropriate corporate signatures • Attends pre-bids and site meetings • Assists in the development of written materials, proposals and price quotations • Assists in presenting proposals to potential clients • Assists in project start-up to ensure all key elements of the proposal are met • Assists in evaluation of lost projects in order to increase contract wins • Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions • Bachelor's degree and 4-10 years related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Strong business development and sales experience • Proficiency in Word and Excel • Must be able to read, write and speak proficient Spanish • Requires overnight travel approximately 50% of the time.
