Exterran is seeking Shop Mechanic - Senior for our Casper, WY location.

Primary Responsibilities and Assignments Repair and make mechanical sound gas compressor packages. Produce a quality product for our customers. Work independently with little or no supervision. Knowledgeable in all aspects of compressor packages. Able to work with trainees to pass on knowledge.


Education and Certification
Required:Any combination of education and experience which would be likely to result in the requisite skills and abilities. Preference given to high school graduates, with strong preference for graduates of trade schools.

Specific Work Background/Experience
Required: 4-7 years of mechanical experience.

Special Requirements/Additional Comments
Required: Test compressors, trouble shoot compressors. Drive forklift, move compressor in the yard, clean shop and yard. Welding of guards and brackets on compressors. Load and unload units. May be asked to attend meetings of safety committee. Cleaning, painting, testing, paperwork, and driving. Must comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures. Mechanical skills, welding skills, and pipe fitting skills. Electronics (panel) skills, hydraulic skills, tubing skills, math skills, English skills, writing skills, and analytical skills. Ability to read, write and speak English.
