Job Description Structural Engineer Burns & McDonnell has an exciting opportunity in our Denver office in our Energy group for a Structural Engineer.  This position’s responsibilities include performing design on various projects and preparing estimates and proposals.  Experience with design of heavy industrial structures, power generation facilities, aviation facilities, and water/wastewater facilities is a plus.  Structural engineering design experience shall include steel, concrete and masonry design.  Position provides progressive design and project management responsibilities.  Engineer provides leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members as well as meets and interacts with clients. Qualified candidates will possess Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural engineering from accredited program along with 7 years of related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience). Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills are required. P.E. required.  Consulting experience is preferred.  Master's degree in Structural engineering preferred. As a 100% employee owned firm, we offer stock ownership, incentive bonus programs and matching 401(k) plans.
