Technical Writer Technical Writer What you’ll be doing: Ensure that the Publications team effectively meets its mission to: Enhance and maintain the objectives and standards for publications that are necessary to support the RedPrairie product plans Achieve the quality and timeliness objectives of the product release Continually improve the value of the publication deliverables and Provide expertise in published communications to the Publications and other departments. Complete writing assignments on time and on budget and according to departmental and industry standards. Create publications that accurately and effectively support the product release requirements. Implement high quality, well tested and easy to maintain deliverables. Provide input into software designs to improve overall quality (usability) of the product. Assist developers to integrate publication content into application Keeping abreast of and have a willingness to learn emerging technologies (CD-ROM, multimedia, CBT, online help, etc.) that support the improvement of publications What you’ll need: Bachelors degree in Technical Communication or English or equivalent years experience in technical writing required. At least two years technical writing experience, preferably documenting software. Proficiency in the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp (must have), Online Documentation (must have), Paint Shop Pro, Macromedia Captivate (preferred).
