Database Administrator

The primary project will be the re-designed and ongoing maintenance of what is commonly known as the "Canister" database which feeds MiSource.  this will require a coordinative effort amongst various departments within IMC and Wealth Management to identify and automate the entry/input of data into a usable database based on needs, in addition to the verification of its accuracy.  This person would also working with the vendor to establish a better structure for communication of data and work to enhance and/or upgrade the end-user experience in terms of the content available.Outside of this project, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining/enhancing the functionality of all other databases currently utilized in IMC, specifically the Macgregor trading and compliance databases, and the Abacus Performance database.  Additionally, a centralized database for data storage has been needed in IMC for a long time, and this person would be responsible for designing and maintaining that database, as well as creating reports out of them for all areas of IMC.  The idea behind this is to create a "one-stop shop" for  any and all data and reports related to IMC's investment and advisory responsibilities on behalf of their clients.Aside from these projects, and depending on how much time is required, this person could also play a key role in the implementation of the new Portfolio Management System.
