Duties and Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities within the Wisconsin Energy Corporation Accounts Payable group. This position provides direct supervision for the activities of approximately 14 employees, which includes processing approx. $2.2 billion in payments annually.

Essential Functions include:

* Identify customer training needs and develop training programs.

* Maintain metrics for continuous improvement.

* Coordinate, review and conduct compliance audits.

* Liaison between Sourcing and Accounts Payable to insure the Vendor data is complete and accurate for 1099 reporting.

* Monitor supplier statement review for improvement.

* Review electronic check requests to ensure compliance.

* Develop an audit plan to monitor controls, evaluate processes and improve efficiencies.

* Assist with third-party audits.

* Coordinate the monthly accruals process.

 



Education and Experience Requirements: Associate's degree or two years of college course work in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred. Significant related experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education. Minimum of two years supervisory experience and minimum of one year Accounts Payable experience is required. Candidates must possess the following skills: thorough knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability and willingness to be a participative team player, demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to be innovative, and a sense of urgency.
