Senior Accountant (2008057)

DescriptionThe Senior Accountant will report to the SEC and International Accounting Manager and will be an integral part of the finance team at Isilon. The successful candidate will be analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. Strong communications skills are a must, as is the ability to work well as part of a team. Candidates should have an understanding of general ledger, accruals, internal controls, financial reporting, month-end closing processes, and GAAP. Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly consolidations• Liaise with international accounting teams• Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts• Handle general ledger account reconciliations and analysis. • Verify account balances and resolves discrepancies. • Prepare or review journal entries, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with corporate policy and sound business practice. • Maintain Fixed Assets system, including additions and disposals, maintaining asset and depreciation reports and reconciliations. • Prepare Property and Use Tax returns. • Handle monthly bank and investment reconciliations. • Assist with the annual audit and quarterly reviews. • Assist internal customers (within Finance and in other departments) by providing procedural/financial information and guidance. • Assist in defining and documenting procedures in adherence with company policy, GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. • Calculate monthly commissions for sales department and prepare and deliver commission statements• Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. • Minimum of four years of experience in general accounting, which can attest to a comprehensive knowledge of broad-based financial accounting functions. • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written). • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting package preferred. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • A proven track record of commitment to exceptional client service. • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact and work with all levels of the organization in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance, prioritize, multitask and complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines. • Big Four and public company experience preferred.• CPA or CMA preferred.Level of responsibility and salary commensurate with background and experience.
