Experienced Payroll Clerk

Our  client is a rapidly growing construction company, that operates all over the western US. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk for a San Diego area regional office to help ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for nearly 1000 employees.

This position, which reports directly to the Payroll Director, offers high visibility and the opportunity for advancement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees Process manual check issues, voids and stop payments Provide assistance in entering and paying all wage garnishments Ensure benefits deductions are accurate Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity Develop reports for management using provided software Assist employees and managers with questions, concerns or issues regarding payroll.

Provide support to leadership team in all payroll -related functions

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma College degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years experience processing payroll for multiple states and offices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding customer service skills Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Must be able to maintain high levels of confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
