 We are looking for a positive and energetic Credit & Collection Specialist to work with our accounting team.   This position requires up to 20 hours per week (4 hours per day).   

 

Essential Responsibilities of the Role- Manage and monitor collection of all accounts Make collections calls to inquire on payment for invoices or deductions Obtain and manage letters of credit Approve shipments to delinquent, on hold or cash accounts Maintain DSO at 42 days Refer accounts to attorney for collection Negotiate and follow up on payment arrangements Reconcile customer accounts, respond to inquiries, and research discrepancies Review and approve credit applications Draft demand letters for delinquent accounts Manage customer complaints Extensive telephone customer contact 

We are looking for a great team player whose background includes- 

  A minimum of 3 to 4 years of credit and collections experience in a corporate environment. Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree preferred  Strong interpersonal skills required Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail while handling several tasks and responsibilities simultaneously Excellent verbal and communications skills to support customer service activities Must be strong and be able to deal with many types of personalities with grace Assist in special projects as required
