We are currently considering candidates for the following opportunity:ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER Position Summary: Responsible for the leadership of a team of exempt and non-exempt employees in the completion of Accounts Payable functions and processes. Position requires daily contact with stores, vendors, and senior management to bring timely resolution to issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Hire, train, and lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees in the completion of the Accounts Payable function which includes planning and executing the following processes: Complete matching process of invoices to purchase/receiving documents – automated as well as manual matching Proper accounting for payment of invoices that are matched manually Balancing Accounts Payable sub-ledger to general ledger Payments to vendors in accordance with payment terms Communicate, educate, train and follow-up on the implementation of any system-wide Company initiative that relates to Accounts Payable Ensure systems and processes are in place in order to effectively train and develop new and existing team members On a daily basis, respond to questions and interact with vendors and various levels of management from Store Support Center and Store Operations; provide response/resolution in a timely and thorough manner to all internal and external customers Document all internal procedures to meet with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards Participate and represent Finance in meetings which involve Accounts Payable processing procedures Ensure that Accounts Payable team meets productivity standards by reviewing productivity reporting, training team members, developing, and implementing initiatives to improve overall team productivity. Publish dashboard reporting of team productivity Maintain all files in a neat, organized manner following Company file retention guidelines Maintain departmental-level compliance with Company standards of safety, security and other administrative duties Perform other office duties as needed to ensure smooth financial processes and to meet vendor needs Identify and develop process improvements that will increase accuracy and speed with which the invoices are processed and paid Train, coach and hold staff accountable for achieving established and new performance standards. Complete performance reviews for all staff in Accounts Payable QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Position requires occasional weekend availability.
